Là tiến sĩ cello đầu tiên của Việt Nam được đào tạo ở nước ngoài, tại Romania, cô hoàn toàn có thể lựa chọn một con đường ổn định với biểu diễn và giảng dạy. Nhưng Xuân đã chọn một con đường khó hơn nhiều. Cô không chỉ muốn chơi cello. Cô muốn tạo ra khán giả cho cello. Không chỉ muốn biểu diễn âm nhạc cổ điển. Cô muốn góp phần xây dựng đời sống âm nhạc cổ điển ở Việt Nam.
