Vietnam's first cello doctor to perform the music night "Return"
(HNMO) - As the first doctorate in Vietnam specializing in music and cello performance, Dinh Hoai Xuan always has the desire to spread classical music closer to the audience. She is also a rare classical artist who has maintained the classical concert series "Cello Fundamento" since 2016. This year, the program will take place one night only on the evening of December 29 in Hanoi with the participation of many international artists.

Dinh Hoai Xuan named this classic night "Home Sweet Home". She explained, “Returning” is the wish of many Vietnamese artists when studying abroad. The female artist originally from Quang Binh wanted to express her gratitude to the land that inspired her passion for the cello. This music night also has special meaning for Dinh Hoai Xuan as it marks her return after many years of training and hard work abroad. The female singer completed the course and received Vietnam's first PhD degree in music and cello performance.
Talking about the doctoral thesis she wrote, Dinh Hoai Xuan revealed that she worked hard to build the thesis with the topic of cello promotion, performance and contribution in the Vietnamese music environment. In her thesis, she pointed out three suggestions for what to do: bring the cello to school; organize a cello competition for Vietnamese cello lovers at home and abroad; produce a gameshow that combines cello with games to spread the fastest to everyone, especially the younger generation. In the immediate future, she plans to bring the cello to schools, reaching about 100,000 students across the country.

Regarding the concert "Cello Fundameto - Home Sweet Home" taking place on the evening of December 29, Dinh Hoai Xuan shared that the program brings together more than 60 talented artists of Vietnamese and world classical music. In addition to the host of the show, the program also features two talented artists both from Romania: Ciprian Marinescu - conductor of the Japanese Osaka Orchestra and Răzvan Suma - Professor at Bucharest National University of Music, Teacher during Dinh Hoai Xuan's 4 years studying in Romania.
Besides, the program has the participation of many other talented artists such as: Yamaguchi Hiroaki (Japan), Ella Bokor (Romania), Chu Hai Ly, Tran Khanh Quang (Vietnam National Academy of Music)... with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
In the program, in addition to performing famous works such as "Bach: Suit No 1", "Four Romanian dances", "Trio for clarinet - 1st movement", "Fantasiestucke: Adagio and allegro", "Trio 2 parts for the seasons", "Double concerto", "Concerto for Cello and Orchestra", Dinh Hoai Xuan will perform the work "Rice Drum" arranged by musician Do Hong Quan.
“I want to perform a concert that is rich in the traditional culture of the nation. It will be a night of beautiful art both visually and musically performed by Vietnamese and international artists," shared Dinh Hoai Xuan.
Artist Dinh Hoai Xuan has been involved in music since he was 10 years old. She was valedictorian of Violoncello at Hue Academy of Music in 2005.
She graduated with honors from the Master of Violoncello Performance at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2012 and won a PhD scholarship from the Vietnamese and Romanian Governments for cello performance at the Bucharest National University of Music.
