Cello concert night brings together many talents

Home Sweet Home (Return) is the 4th show in the concert series Cello Fundamento Concert 4 initiated by cellist Dinh Hoai Xuan since 2016. The show will take place one night only on the evening of December 29 at the Opera House. Hanoi.

Dinh Hoai Xuan said that with the theme "Return", she wanted to express her gratitude to her homeland, Vietnam - where she was born and raised, inspiring and cultivating her passion for the cello, at the same time. Thank you to the government for providing a scholarship for her 4 years of studying abroad in Romania. In particular, the concert marked the return of Dinh Hoai Xuan after years of training in Rumania, helping her become Vietnam's first female PhD in music and cello performance.

Participating in the Return concert are more than 60 talented artists of Vietnamese and world classical music. Among them are many big names in the world music industry such as Ciprian Marinescu - Conductor of the Japanese Osaka Orchestra, Răzvan Suma - Professor at Bucharest National University of Music, artist Yamaguchi Hiroaki from Japan, artist Ella Bokor from Romania...

In particular, musician Do Hong Quan - Associate Professor, Doctor of Science, President of the Vietnam Musicians Association will be present at the concert with a special transcription specifically for Cello performance with the Orchestra.

The desire to spread Cello of a female music doctor

Artist Dinh Hoai Xuan has been attached to the cello since he was a child and graduated as valedictorian of Violoncello at the Hue Academy of Music, graduated with honors as a Master of Violoncello Performance at the Vietnam Academy of Music and won a scholarship. Doctoral degree from the Government of Vietnam and Romania at Bucharest National University of Music.

Dinh Hoai Xuan has released many music products, including the highly appreciated MV Towards Hanoi. The album "The Adventure of a Lifetime" includes 8 songs by musician Trinh Cong Son, arranged for the cello and her performance by a semi-classical orchestra, which is also loved by the public. She has toured many places around the world such as Italy, Spain, Greece, Russia, Australia...

Not only passionate about performing, what makes Dinh Hoai Xuan always worry and put a lot of effort is the development of cello in Vietnam. She gave 3 clear points for her journey: "First, we must bring cello to schools and I have this plan in March next year to reach 100,000 students across Vietnam. Next time The program to bring cello to schools will be for the Central region - a place where the sun and wind are very harsh but the spirit of learning is very suitable for communication work.

The second is to organize a competition for cello students in Vietnam and abroad to return to compete and perform.

Third, we must produce a gameshow, we must combine it with games to spread it to everyone, especially preschool children, which is the most correct way to invest, through education, through television through competitions".

Dinh Hoai Xuan further shared that what makes her happiest is that now more young people know the cello and the National Academy of Music has more students taking the entrance exam each year. "That is one of the good signs in the spread of Cello," she said.
