Cello Fundamento is an international concert series founded by Dinh Hoai Xuan in 2016 with the desire to spread classical music widely to the Vietnamese public.

With the theme of Après un rêve (French for After a Dream), Cello Fundamento 7 (CF7) is expected to be an exploration of distant horizons, turning “oceanic dreams” into reality…

Dinh Hoai Xuan and Cello Fundamento are considered a musical bridge between Romania and Vietnam

Supported by the Romanian Embassy and the French Embassy, Après un rêve features the participation of prestigious artists from France, Germany, Spain and Romania. This is also an art event marking 50 years of diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.

The date of the program, December 1, is also the 105th anniversary of Romania's National Day. All CF7 profits are used to award scholarships to young musical talents and to be used for community music projects of the Cello Fundamento organization.

One of the highlights of the program is the appearance of the chamber ensemble Enescu Project String Octet from France, founded by violinist Nicolas Dautricourt. He is also the person who is being entrusted with the Stradivarius violin worth an estimated 20 million USD (nearly 500 billion VND).

It is on the list of the 12 most expensive violins of all time, designed by Antonio Stradivarius - the greatest musical instrument maker in human history - in the golden age of 1713.

The guitar that Nicolas Dautricourt (pictured) is using is 310 years old, made from thousand-year-old spruce wood grown in the Fiemme valley in northern Italy with sophisticated lines creating soft, sweet sounds. sweetly touches the listener's deepest emotions

The program selects unique works that are highly artistic and at the same time very receptive to a large number of listeners. These include: Libertango by Astor Piazzolla, Mov.1 of Concerto No. 4 for Violin (Winter) by Antonio Vivaldi, completely re-arranged for cello and strings, Etudes No. 6 written for piano by Franz Liszt - composer , Hungarian pianist, or Après un rêve (After a Dream) by Gabriel Fauré…

Worth noting is the appearance of the work Octet for strings in C major Opus No. 7 by Romanian composer George Enescu (1881-1955), who is considered "the greatest musical phenomenon since Mozart". . Enescu can be considered the founder of Romanian music.

The program also includes composer Nguyen Dinh Thi's work Hanoi People, transcribed by Mariano Castro for cello duet with piano and orchestra accompaniment.

As is customary, each Cello Fundamento number will close with a folk song performance arranged for orchestra. CF7 will send to the audience a medley of folk songs from Romania, France and Vietnam. This is a quite bold step because in previous seasons, the show only showed Vietnamese folk songs.

In addition to the main character, artist Dinh Hoai Xuan, the program also features guest artists such as cellist Bui Ha Mien (lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music), pianist Luu Hong Quang (currently performing and teaching in Australia), conductor Nguyen Phu Son (studying abroad in Germany), along with artists Khuong Hiep Ha (piano), Ngo Toan Thang (contrabass), Vietnam Accordion Quartet, cellists Luong Thu Tra, Dao Tuyet Trinh, Do Pha Le of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
