Cellist Hoai Xuan made a music video to celebrate the liberation of the capital.
The music video "Towards Hanoi" is not only her gratitude to the land that helps her nurture her passion, but also how Hoai Xuan brings scholarly music closer to the younger generation.
After memorable experiences with Trinh's music, cellist Dinh Hoai Xuan continued to work on the MV project "Huong ve Ha Noi" for 8 months to thank the land that nurtures her dreams. In particular, the song with lyrics by musician Hoang Duong was completely transformed into an instrumental piece by Luu Ha An in this production under the main performance of Hoai Xuan and two pianists Vu Ngoc Linh and clarinet Tran Khanh Quang.
Cellist Hoai Xuan said she wants to bring chamber music closer to the younger generation with familiar songs. Photo: Hai Ba.
MV Huong ve Ha Noi is the story of three children who were saved by a soldier during the Patriotic War. When the soldier died, the three found a picture of his beloved wife he always carried with him. Peace was restored, the children of the past were now grown up and they decided to find the benefactor's wife.
Musician Luu Ha An confided, "Huong ve Ha Noi" is a song that is too familiar to the audience. Moreover, this is also the first time he has adapted a song with lyrics into an instrumental work, so refreshing this song is even more difficult. For her part, Dinh Hoai Xuan shared that in addition to expressing her love for Hanoi, she also hopes to contribute to bringing scholarly music closer to young audiences.
During the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the capital, Dinh Hoai Xuan and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform this song at Ly Thai To Square on October 10.
