Bringing Cello closer to the public through the Cello Fundamento project

VTV.vn - For more than 21 years with the cello, artist Dinh Hoai Xuan is one of the young artists contributing to promoting the cello as well as classical music in Vietnam.

Symphony music is considered scholarly music, even difficult to understand for most audiences. To change this mindset, young cellist Dinh Hoai Xuan has launched the Cello Fundamento project, which brings classical music closer to the public.

The familiar folk song Ga gay expressed through the combination of Cello, Piano, Violin, and Clarinet, instruments typical for classical music, has made a strong impression on the public in the capital. The performance was the highlight of the night concert officially launching the Cello Fundamento project.

"Cello Fundamento is about the harmony of the cello with other instruments. The project was born in 2016 and this year is the second year of the project. From my deep love for the cello, I hope I want more and more people to know about this instrument," shared cello artist Dinh Hoai Xuan, founder of the Cello Fundamento project.

For more than 21 years with the cello and currently studying for a Ph.D. in music in Romania, Hoai Xuan is known as one of the young artists with elaborate music projects to promote the cello, as well as music. Classic in Vietnam. In parallel with the Cello Fundamento project, Hoai Xuan also continuously released elaborate MVs, experimenting with many genres from Trinh music to young music and even musical films.
