Artist Dinh Hoai Xuan: Wishing the cello to come closer to the audience
NDĐT - After years of studying abroad returning, cellist Dinh Hoai Xuan will perform his special program called "Cello Fundamento Concert 4 - Home Sweet Home" taking place only one night on December 29, at Hanoi Opera House.
This year is the fourth time that the Cello Fundamento program is held, with the theme "Home Sweet Home", artist Dinh Hoai Xuan wants to express gratitude to her homeland Vietnam, where she was born and grew up, igniting and instilling a passion for the cello and as a big thank you to the government for a scholarship for four years to study in Romania.
At the same time, Cello Fundamento Concert 4 marks the return of Dinh Hoai Xuan after years of training and hard work in Romania, helping her become the first female doctorate in Vietnam majoring in music and cello performance. This year, the show brings together more than 60 talented artists of classical music in Vietnam and the world.
Artist Dinh Hoai Xuan revealed that famous works will be performed in Cello Fundamento Concert 4, including Bach: Suit No 1, Four Romanian dances, Trio for clarinet - 1st movement, Fantasiestucke: Adagio and allegro, Trio 2 parts for the seasons, Double concerto, Concerto for Cello and Orchestra,... In which, there is a Vietnamese work called Drum Rice that will be arranged by musician Do Hong Quan for cello and orchestra.
In addition to the main character, artist Dinh Hoai Xuan, the show also features two talented artists from Romania, Ciprian Marinescu - Conductor of Osaka Japan Orchestra and Răzvan Suma - Professor at Bucharest National University of Music, the teacher during 4 years of studying by artist Dinh Hoai Xuan in Romania and also a participant in the Cello Fundamento concert 2 & 3, will continue to participate in Cello Fundamento Concert 4…
Dinh Hoai Xuan came to music at the age of 10 and fell in love with the cello from the very first day. She was the valedictorian of Violoncello at Hue Conservatory of Music in 2005. She graduated with a Master's degree in Violoncello Performance from the Vietnam Academy of Music in 2012 and is a favorite student of Outstanding Artist Tien Phuc. She won a dual Ph.D. scholarship from the Government of Vietnam and Romania to major in cello performance at Bucharest National University of Music, Romania.
And Dinh Hoai Xuan cherishes big dreams for the cello. She has released many MVs, in which the musical film "Huong ve Ha Noi" (Hoang Duong) with a great investment in budget and a dedicated and talented team, the product was released on the occasion of the anniversary. 60 years of Capital Liberation made a big splash in the domestic music market when it was highly appreciated by musicians, artists, media, and the public.
Prior to that, the album "Khuc phieu du mot doi" released by Dinh Hoai Xuan with eight songs by musician Trinh Cong Son was arranged for cello and semi-classical orchestra to perform in 2013 also marked the effort and love of this beautiful talented artist. She has toured in many parts of the world such as Italy, Spain, Greece, Russia, Australia... and was also a member of the Southeast Asian Youth Symphony Orchestra (2006).
I asked Dinh Hoai Xuan why he didn't choose to be an artist in the Symphony Orchestra. Xuan laughs, Xuan's dream is bigger than that. Deep down in her heart, the beautiful female artist always understands that wanting to get closer to the public through classical music in today's music market is not an easy thing." The road ahead is arduous, but I'm not impatient, but I'm still trying to find a way to bring classical music closer to the public. Xuan is the founder of the Cello Fundamento Concert series. In addition to maintaining the annual organization, this year's CF4 program also opens a series of activities with the aim of spreading classical music and cello closer to life, especially schoolchildren, students, and young adults. nonmusical future of the country. The annual Cello Fundamento Concert program will also deduct six scholarships from the Cello Fundamento - Dinh Hoai Xuan Scholarship Fund. In which, for the three best students of the Cello Faculty of the National Academy of Music and three excellent students of the Cello, Piano, and Violin faculties at Hue Academy of Music; each scholarship is worth 5 million VND.
After the Cello Fundamento Concert 4, Dinh Hoai Xuan will collaborate with Phu Xuan University - Hue to bring the cello to schools, expected to reach more than 100,000 students across the country, especially central area. She also hopes to organize a cello contest, attracting many foreign artists and Vietnamese artists who have studied abroad to return so that cello can spread more among young people.
